Maltby street market a Bermondsey è un piccolo mercato alimentare, sotto agli archi della ferrovia, in una vecchia stradina di artigiani falegnami i cui laboratori, in concomitanza del mercato, diventano piccoli ristori.
Poche bancherelle, circa 30, produttori di delizie varie in un’atmosfera unica.
Maltby Street Market in Bermondsey is a small food market, under railway’s arches , in an old street of craftsmen carpenters; the laboratories, in merket’s days, become little refreshment.
Not many stalls, about 30, producers of many delicacies in a unique atmosphere.

Al 3′ piano un percorso con foto ed oggetti originali come la macchina da scrivere del Signor John Lewis, il suo primo tacquino con i conti della banca, vestiti e stoffe dell’epoca…

All’esterno della mostra c’è il rumore delle carrozze sui ciotoli e dei cavalli: sembra di stare in mezzo ad una strada. Una strada di 150 anni fa.
John Lewis store department is 150 years old.
At the 3th floor there is a show about this anniversary with photos and original objects. You can see the Mr. John Lewis’s typewriter, his first bank book, original clothes and fabrics.
How could I resist to go in and jump into the past?
Outside of the exhibition there is a noise of carriages and horses, it seems to be in the middle of a road. A road of 150 years ago.

L’ultima parte del percorso è con oggetti simbolo di questi 150 anni Quella carrozzina ce l’ho, color bordeaux. È meravigliosa, l’ho usata con mio figlio… Diciamo… Un pó ingombrante… ricordo una volta ad una fiera di antiquariato, lui aveva 1 mese…
The last part of the show is with objects icon of these 150 years. I have this pram, bordeaux. It’s wonderful, I used it with my son … I remember once in an antiques fair, he was 1 months old…
